Paddling

I find it funny when people ask me where there is kayaking around here, I just tell them you live on an Island. Besides the obvious, (Great South Bay, Peconic Bay, LI Sound) there are also many rivers you can explore. We at Adventure Cycles & Sports have Boats & Paddles by Sevlyor, Dry bags from SealLine and many other supplies to get you paddling in no time. Take a trip to our store and see some of our boats on display.

To learn more about paddling on Long Island, you can visit Long Island Adventure Tours.

These Inflatables are not toys. They are made to handle almost anything a heavy plastic kayak can do. Light enough for one person to handle, and no need for a bulky car carrier.

SEVYLOR® POINTER K1 KAYAK - ST6107
Pointer K1, as the name implies has a very pointed bow and stern and this, combined with 2 skegs, and a flat bottom construction makes for a great touring kayak. The boat tracks extremely well, better than any other inflatable kayak.Standard equipment is: luggage type storage/carry bag, white water spray cover with apron, large comfortable padded seat with backrest, rear cargo hatch with cover, bungee lacing for deck cargo, 4 tie-downs to secure top side cargo or spare paddle, a bow and stern lifting handle, a water bottle holder, 2 Boston valves and 1 jumbo valve, a foot pump, owner’s manual, maintenance kit, and a special bonus—a dry bag for small valuables such as wallet, cell phone, etc.

SEVYLOR®  COLORADO CANOE - KCC335
The Colorado has a raised bow and stern and is as close in shape, comfort and styling to the traditional North American Indian canoe as an inflatable boat will ever get. It’s double hull construction makes it very rugged and rigid. The canoe combines the stability, maneuverability and sea worthiness of a kayak with comfort, looks and styling of the traditional North American canoe. Ideally suited for rough waters, lakes, ocean, fishing and diving and great for beginners. Includes 2 bucket seats, removable stern storage compartment, 2 directional strakes, carrying handles, multiple d-rings and ties, motor mount fittings (to attach a Sevylor® SBM 12V trolling motor), and a nylon carrying bag.

SEVYLOR®  RIO CANOE - KCC305
Same features as the Colorado except with 1 bucket seat on KCC305.

LOA - 9’7”
Beam - 3’2”
Weight - 25 lbs.
Pers. Cap. - 1

SEVYLOR® TAHITI CLASSIC - K79

It is made of special PVC and is the oldest of all Sevylor® boats. Twice traversed the entire length of the Amazon. Produced since 1963, it features an I-beam floor, drain hole with plug, Boston valves, and specially designed inflatable seats with back support, in the traditional classic Sevylor® color.

SEVYLOR® SIT ON TOP - ST5656
One of the oldest watercrafts known to man is a flat boat, which is neither a canoe nor kayak. Used by Polynesians to travel a thousand years ago from island to island and face storms and high seas. These modern Sit On Tops are ideally suited as rental craft because a novice can paddle it and it can easily be reboarded. Both models are constructed of super strong sandwich like material outer hull and heavy duty polyester decks. Inner hull made of heavy duty cold resistant pvc material with double I-beam electronically welded seams. Comes with a mesh carrying/dive bag and seat/seats.

SEVYLOR® TRAIL BOAT - HF160

Made of durable nylon PU and PVC. Rolls up into a small duffel bag and can be strapped under a backpack or seat of a bicycle. The duffel bag converts into an inflating device. Comes with two tethered paddles, which convert into a kayak paddle, bag/pump, two military valves for easy inflation.
